Food of special medical purposes in the form of enteral capsules, which contain soda salt of butyric acid (sodium butyrate – 150 mg) in the form of microgranulate. Indications for dietary conduct in:

• disorders of bowel function (irritable bowel syndrome – IBS),
• diarrhea after antibiotic therapy,
• in intestinal infections and inflammatory diseases of the gastric mucosa
• in disorders of the intestinal microflora,
• in short-chain deficiencies of fatty acids,
• patients after cancer treatment (m.in inflammation of the intestines after radiotherapy)

Sodium butyrate has valuable biological properties: nourishes the mucous membrane, increases blood flow through the intestinal mucosa, stimulates the motility of the gastrointestinal tract, increases the absorption of sodium and water in the large intestine, promotes normal intestinal peristaltics, supports the production of mucus protects against the ingress of bacteria and toxins into the body from intestinal contents.
